Welcome! I am Mrs. Lisa Higgins, the TK Teacher here at St. Mary School. Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a year where children learn to grow socially, emotionally, physically, academically and spiritually. Our students get to experience hands-on learning opportunities with letters, numbers, stories, songs, writing and arts and crafts. Imagination, creativity and play are encouraged every day through lessons and activities. Our TK bridges the path between home and Kindergarten and gives all students the gift of time that will help them build a strong foundation of skills and a love of learning for future school success. I have been teaching here at St. Mary's for 25 years and am currently a part of the Leadership Team. I have a certificate in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from Cal State Northridge.
