Teacher Bio: Hello! My students call me Mrs. A. Welcome to my classroom! I believe teenagers are a special gift from God, and I strive to empower my students to be courageous and recognize their own potential.

I have always loved children and am now in my 36th year of teaching! I have a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, which I earned with a desire to become a coach. Being a teacher, particularly to teenagers, certainly requires many of the same skills and patience as being a coach. I love being able to share my faith through teaching and helping children through their middle school years.

My husband and I have three adult children and three beautiful grandchildren. In our free time, we love to travel to Texas to spend time with them.

For the last 7 years, I have had the pleasure of being part of the St. Mary’s family. This is a warm, special, and tight-knit community that truly emphasizes practicing what you preach and values its multicultural fabric. My favorite community event is our annual Christmas program, which gives the children a chance to perform and receive direct affirmation from their families.
